Are Myson Radiators any good?
POOR QUALITY MYSON RADIATOR Having to replace a 3-year-old Myson Radiator because of corrosion at the top. I contacted Myson to explain what had happened and asked for a replacement under the 10-year guarantee but they have refused and have been very unhelpful. I would not recommend MYSON radiators.
Where are Myson Radiators manufactured?
Our decorative products are manufactured, by Purmo Group, in Austria and Germany, incorporating all the expertise of a leading European heat emitter supplier with world renowned European engineering.
How does a Myson TRV work?
At the heart of the Myson TRV 2-Way is a robust liquid sensor which makes the valve highly responsive to temperature changes, allowing radiators to run at individually adjusted temperatures. The TRV 2-Way is highly reliable and suitable for use with all standard and decorative radiators and towel warmers.
What size of radiator do I need?
To work out your room’s floor area you need to measure and multiply the floor length by its width. For example, a room which is 4 meters long and 3.5 meters wide has an area of 14 square meters. To heat this room effectively you would need the correct size radiator model with a minimum wattage of 1430 watts.
Are triple panel radiators worth it?
For the greatest heat output consider a triple radiator which uses a combination of three panels and three convectors. Great for larger spaces, they’re also ideal if you are extending a room and don’t want to install additional radiators.
What does TRV 2 way mean?
thermostatic radiator valve
The MYSON TRV 2-way is the most complete thermostatic radiator valve range available for today’s central heating systems. Incorporating our unique ‘2-way’ engineering, including our patented ‘bonding’ technique, the MYSON TRV 2-way simplifies installation and removes the worry of costly callbacks.
What does V mean on radiator?
When you turn the trv it will engage it and rad will heat up. Triangle when lined up with a dot or line on the valve means the flow to the radiator is fully open.
What happens if your radiator is too big?
If your radiator is too big, it will minimize essential wall space and use excess energy whenever it is in operation. By contrast, if your radiator is too small, it won’t have the capacity to properly heat your space to the required temperature.
What size radiators do I need?
Are tall radiators less efficient?
Upright radiators are in fact just as efficient as horizontal radiators and their tall, narrow design allows them to be placed in areas which would otherwise be unused.
Are TRV valves universal?
However this in not the case now and most, if not all, TRVs are universal, meaning that the flow can be either way through them without making and alterations to them. This means that there is no restriction to which side of the radiator they can go.
