What is the meaning behind The Color Run?
The Color Run, also known as the Happiest 5k on the Planet, is a unique paint race that celebrates healthiness, happiness, and individuality.
What do you wear to The Color Run?
Wear a bandana and sunglasses. At each checkpoint along the course, volunteers will be standing by to douse you in a different colored powder. If you plan on getting messy, a bandana and sunglasses will help you keep the powder out of your nose, mouth, and eyes.
Where did the color run originate?
In March 2011, it was first held in Phoenix, Arizona with 6,000 people joined. It was created by Travis Snyder, a Utah native and event producer. His idea was to encourage professionals and novices to have fun together.
Do you have to wear white in a color run?
It’s highly recommended to wear clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. This could be old clothes that you have in your closet or something new that you plan on using solely for color fun runs. This 5K run is full of color, and it can really pop by wearing white clothing.

Where does the money from The Color Run go?
To date, The Color Run has donated more than $5 million to charity since its founding in 2012. This is where we make a financial donation to our charity partner. This set amount is determined in communication with the charity and depends on the level of involvement/volunteers provided by the charity.
What do colour runs raise money for?
Our programs are focused on making life better for kids with cancer and the Color Run is ALL about being positive and happy. They included our cancer families in every part of the day and lived up to their promise of the happiest 5K on the planet.
