What do you do at Red Raider Orientation?
Red Raider Orientation was designed to guide each new student at Texas Tech to success. While at RRO, students will get the chance to meet other new students, get advice from current students, meet with an advisor, register for classes, learn new Texas Tech traditions, and have fun!
How do I change my Red Raider Orientation date?
Changing Session Dates If you need to change any information after you have already registered for orientation, you can log back in to the registration system at any time. Make your desired changes and save your new information.
Is the Texas Tech orientation Virtual?
Through a virtual format we will provide content for students and guests that create ways for you to foster virtual communities to help your transition to Texas Tech. Your RRO Crew and Transfer Ambassadors will be in touch with you throughout the summer and are excited to welcome you to Texas Tech University.
Is Red Raider camp mandatory?
It is also REQUIRED for all incoming students. Red Raider Camp is your NEXT STEP that is more focused on introducing new students to the campus culture and giving them a head start on their college career. At RRC you don’t just hear about all the great traditions at Texas Tech, you actually experience them.
How do I cancel my Texas Tech orientation?
Cancelling Your RRO Reservation
- To cancel/withdraw your application and/or decline admission, please complete the online Withdrawal Form through the Office of Admissions:
- You should only withdraw if you NO LONGER PLAN TO ATTEND TTU.
- Once your application is withdrawn, your RRO session will automatically be cancelled.
What is Red Raider camp?
Red Raider Camp is an exciting next step for new students attending Texas Tech University. RRC is designed to prepare students for success by providing an opportunity to have fun, make friends, experience traditions, and learn more about their new home, Texas Tech University!
Do parents go to Red Raider Orientation?
We would like to invite you to attend Red Raider Orientation (RRO) as a guest with your student! While it is not mandatory that parents attend, we do highly encourage each student to have at least one guest attend with them.
How much does Red Raider Orientation cost?
Yes. The RRO fee for a one-day session is $60, and a two-day session is $175. This includes access to the online orientation modules, access to information and resources to help you be successful, pays for advanced technology, materials and much more.
Does Texas Tech require TSI?
Is TSI an admissions requirement? No, however, you may not register for any classes until you have tested or provided proper documentation of TSI compliance. Testing through our remote system will allow Texas Tech to access scores for Texas Tech students.
How do I access my Texas Tech email?
You may access your TechMail on any device by going to https://office.com and choosing “Outlook”.
Can I take TSI at home?
TSIA 2 from Home. Northwest Vista College uses Examity to proctor the TSI Assessment on-line so students may take it from home.
What is my Raider ID?
Log in with your eRaider username and password. On the top of the page you will see the word Welcome followed by your name. Underneath your name, you will find a R followed by an 8-digit number. This is your TechID Number.
