We’re asked often whether you can use the classic batwing RV TV antenna that was once equipped on most RVs to receive a signal on digital flatscreen TVs. The answer is yes, but there are a couple things to consider when doing so.
How does my Winegard antenna work?
When the power supply to the RV is turned on, current runs from the power source, up the cable and to the antenna. The voltage from the power supply runs to the transistors in the antenna head assembly and the transistors become energized. The energized transistors send the TV signal from the antenna to the TV.
How do I reset my Winegard antenna?
Inside the SIM Card/LED cover plate there is a reset button on the left hand side. Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds. This will restore the unit to the original factory settings. Then you may log in using the factory SSID and password located on the front of this manual or inside the cover plate.
