What is a DSP-83?
a) A nontransfer and use certificate (Form DSP-83) is required for the export of significant military equipment and classified articles, including classified technical data. A license will not be issued until a completed Form DSP-83 has been received by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.

What is a DSP 85?
DSP-85s are for transactions involving classified defense articles and technical data. DSP-85s have an option for all export and import transactions – permanent export, temporary export and temporary import – as requested in Block 3 of the form. Only one type of transaction can be requested per form.
