What is Maxifed?
Maxifed is a combination medicine used to treat stuffy nose and sinus congestion, and to reduce chest congestion caused by the common cold or flu. Maxifed may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

If your cough doesn’t improve or you develop other symptoms like a fever or headache, stop taking this medication and talk to your provider.
When should guaifenesin not be used?
This medication is not usually used for ongoing coughs from smoking, asthma, other long-term breathing problems (such as emphysema), or coughs with a lot of mucus unless directed by your doctor. Opioid cough suppressants should not be used by children younger than 18 years.
