Is CITB the same as CSCS?
Because of the relationship between the two bodies, you might see CSCS cards referred to as ‘CITB cards’. Don’t worry, they are the same thing! To get a CSCS card, applicants will need to have completed the necessary qualifications for the role. These will normally consist of the candidate completing a relevant NVQ.

Can I work without a CSCS card?
Holding a CSCS card is not a legislative requirement. It is entirely up to the principal contractor or client whether workers are required to hold a card before they are allowed on site. However, most principal contractors and major house builders require construction workers on their sites to hold a valid CSCS card.
