Tags are use for a few things: (Amarr, Caldari, Gallente and Minmatar Insignias) Used in LP stores (FW mostly) to get Faction modules and Ships . Some can be traded in to increase your Security status from -10 up to -2.0. Few pirate tags are used to gain access to Bonus rooms that may be available in some missions.
