What is Sstd?
Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are infections that can be transmitted through sexual contact with an infected individual. These are also termed sexually transmitted infections or STIs.

STI caused by bacteria, viruses, or protozoa that are passed from one person to another through sexual contact. While RTI, which are not sexually transmitted, can be caused by disturbances of the normal endogenous flora and by medical interventions that may provoke iatrogenic infection.
Are all STDs RTI?
All Reproductive Tract Infections (RTIs) can be transmitted through coitus and hence all RTIs are STDs. But some STDs may not affect the reproductive system at all, e.g. AIDS and Hepatitis B. Hence, all STDs need not be RTIs.
