Who can travel on a Senior Railcard?
A quick check to make sure you’re eligible You’re eligible for a Senior Railcard if you are 60 years old or over. You can buy one up to two weeks before your 60th birthday if you buy online, but it’ll only be valid from your birthday onwards. If you buy from a station you cannot buy in advance of your 60th birthday.
Can 2 people use Senior Railcard?
No. The Railcard is for your use only, and provides discounts only on tickets bought for your own use. It does not cover anyone accompanying you.
When can you not use Railcard?
You can buy Network Railcard discounted tickets for travel any time on weekends and public holidays or from 10:00am Monday to Friday. You may be able to start your journey a little earlier than 10:00am, see the time restriction easements section for details or check at your local station.
Can I link my Senior Railcard to my Oyster?
Senior Railcard If you’re 60 or over, you can get 1/3 discount on off-peak pay as you go travel. Add your discount to an Oyster card.
Can I use Senior Railcard on London buses?
According to the senior railcard website discounts apply only to rail (train) travel, not to tube travel even if loaded on to Oyster.

Better still you can use it almost anytime during the week, weekends and public holidays. The only restriction is morning Peak time services, Monday to Friday (not including public holidays) when journeys are made wholly within the London and South East Network Railcard area.
