Is Bama the same as SCT?
SCT Pre-Loaded Tunes are designed for stock or lightly modified vehicles (cold air kits, exhaust systems, gear ratio changes etc.) and are not customized to your driving style and vehicle’s modifications. At Bama Performance, we have complete control over your vehicle’s PCM Custom Tuning Software.
Can you reuse a Bama tuner?
You cannot use the device to tune a new or different vehicle until you have returned the original vehicle back to stock, which will unlock the device. You can only change vehicles 5 times before the unit is permanently locked.

Can you tune a car back to stock?
Returning the vehicle to stock will ‘un-marry’ the device and allow it to be used on other vehicles if desired. To use custom tunes on another vehicle with the same device, a new tune file will need to be created and loaded onto the tuner.
Can you go back to factory tune?
Yes. All devices will keep a copy of your stock tune saved to the device and you can revert to the original factory tune at any time.
How long do Bama tunes take?
Our current turn-around times are 3-5 business days for all tunes to be created. If you currently have a device, all tunes will be emailed once they are completed. New device orders take an additional 1-2 business days to program at our warehouse before shipping.

How much does it cost to unlock SCT tuner?
All SCT Tuners are $200 to Vin Unlock. All GTX and non-Ford X4 Tuners can be remotely unlocked, please contact our sales department for this service.
Can you Untune a car?
You will need a Cipher cable to remove the tune and then you will need a stock map to reflash the car. The tune (license) then sits in the cable till it is re-installed onto another car.
