Is there summer school in NZ?
Welcome to Summer School! Any domestic NZ student can enrol in Summer School’s programmes. Our teachers are on hand to help you succeed – we will work alongside you to help you gain those last few NCEA credits you need for UE.
What is trimester G?
D = Full year. Full year papers start at the beginning of A Trimester and continue until the end of B Trimester. G = G Semester. G Semester runs from November to December, covering the first half of the C Trimester.

How long is Summer School in NZ?

Summer School delivers a selection of undergraduate, postgraduate and General Education courses over 6 weeks from early January to mid-February, using a short, intensive teaching format.
Is Summer School full time?
To be considered a full-time student, you must enrol in a minimum of either: 100 points over two semesters. 50 points in any one semester. 25 points at Summer School.
How long is a semester NZ?

Each semester covers a period of about 15 weeks comprising approximately 12 teaching weeks followed by three weeks for study and examination. The first semester usually starts at the beginning of March and the second semester in mid-July. Each semester has a mid-semester break which lasts for one to two weeks.

Do you get half term at uni?
The short answer is no. Universities do not have half term like primary and secondary schools, mostly because terms are much shorter for university students, and short breaks for 1-2 weeks would not be useful to students, especially if they have to travel a long way to and from university.
Can you finish university in 2 years?
Accredited colleges may offer a 2-year degree completion program. But in order to enroll in a degree completion program, you must already have a pile of college credits under your belt. If you do, then the school will help you finish your degree in 2 years.

Can I start uni in semester 2?
Starting in Semester One means you’ll be getting your studies underway from February. Starting in Semester Two means you’ll be starting from July. Beyond that, there’s no academic difference – so if your program of choice is offered in Semester Two and you’re not ready to start in Semester One, that’s okay.
