Do I need underlayment on DRIcore?

Before installing glue-down or nail-down floors a 3/8″ plywood underlayment should be fastened to DRICORE® using 3/4” 18 gauge narrow crown staples.
Do you frame walls on top of DRIcore?
DRIcore® panels can be installed where there is an existing wall frame or a concrete foundation wall. Where only a concrete foundation exists, it is best to install wall framing directly on top of DRIcore® panels to elevate the floor and wall framing away from direct contact of potentially damp concrete.
Can you screw DRIcore?
Remember that DRIcore must be installed as a floating floor. Normally it is not recommended to nail, glue or screw DRIcore panels to the concrete surface. In some instances, we suggest minimal fastening of the panels to the concrete surface.
Do I need a subfloor in my basement?
Subfloors are not always necessary but they are beneficial wherever they can be installed. They only come into play when you want to expand downward and make your basement a warm, livable space. If you don’t plan to use the space, there is no need for a subfloor or floor covering.

They do, however, recommend you screw the framing through the subfloor into the concrete with something like 3″ Tapcons spaced every 4 ft through the bottom sill of the framing.

Replacing a subfloor under a wall may become necessary if the subfloor is no longer structurally sound. A subfloor is the solid base underneath the floor covering that you depend on for the stability of both the floor and walls in a room.

Continue to install panels, staggering seams until the room is completed. Leave 1/4″ spacing for pipes, stairs or other affixed obstacles in the room.
Do I need a subfloor over plywood?
Plywood underlayment is typically needed when a floor material must have a very smooth, flat surface. For example, if you install resilient tiles or sheet flooring over a subfloor, any bumps, dips, or voids in the subfloor may be evident in the finished flooring.
