What do you need for a ME system?
You can also use an ME Drive, which is like a chest but holds 10 storage disks instead of one….To set up a network there are only a few things needed:
- exactly one ME Controller (it won’t work if you have more)
- a power source connected to your Controller.
- at least one Storage Block (ME Drive or ME Chest)
How much energy does a ME system use?
The Controller has a minimal consumption of 6 units/tick which it needs to function. The indicator on its side shows the current power level. When adding more components to your ME Network the consumption of your Controller will become greater. So bigger networks will need more energy than smallers.
Do I need an ME controller?
The ME Controller is the routing hub of a ME Network. Without it, only up to 8 devices can interact, any more and everything stops working. It is not possible to have 2 ME Controller in one ME Network.
How many channels can a me controller have?
As each side of an ME Controller only supports 32 channels, it may be needed to add additional controllers to the system. This can only be achieved by creating a multiblock structure consisting out of multiple adjacent ME Controller blocks. The size of this multiblock structure also may not exceed 7x7x7 blocks.

Does the ME drive need to be powered?
Its important to note, that without a ME Network this block does nothing. Its only useful when combined with a way to input, and output items, and requires 2 AE/t power to function, and additional power for each Storage Cell stored inside it. The ME Drive requires a channel to function.
Can you have two Me drives?
Each drive may hold up to 10 storage items in it at once, and you may have as many drives as you wish on a single network; much the same as their chest counterparts.
