Vines can produce fruit that may be smooth or wrinkled, have a prickly or non-prickly skin and be round or pear-shaped. The mirlitons we tend to grow locally are light green, smooth or slightly wrinkled, non-prickly and pear-shaped, but you also occasionally see ivory white ones.
