Can LACMA members bring guest?
If you are visiting the museum without the second person listed on your membership, you can bring a guest for free. The second listed member may do the same if they are visiting and you are not present. In other words, a total of two people may visit LACMA for free, per day, per Dual-level membership.

We offer free general admission for:
- LACMA members, every day.
- Youth (12 & under) and Teens (13–17) Residing in L.A. County.
- NexGenLA members and one guest.
- L.A. County residents, weekdays after 3 pm with valid ID.

Are tar pits free?
Recent visitors loved learning something new and found the site fascinating. You can check out the tar pits completely free of charge, but museum tickets start at $15 for adults; reduced entry fees are available for children, students and seniors.
Is the Getty free?
Is it free to visit? Admission is free, and temporarily requires a timed-entry reservation. Please note there is a fee for parking.
Does La Brea Tar Pit smell?
Those who have visited or live near the pits know the place by its smell — which can approach a freshly tarred road on a hot summer day — and an ooze that has been known to invade the surrounding area. Neighbors in the past have complained of creeping goo during heavy rains.
Can you walk on tar pits?
You can walk around inside the park for free and see tar pits. You only have to pay for parking and for entering the museum.
Is it worth going to LACMA?
My friends and I decided to spend a few hours at LACMA this past Sunday, and it is definitly worth visiting. We mainly went for the Stanley Kubrick exhibit, but also enjoyed most of the rest of what LACMA has to offer.
