What happens when you over rev 2 stroke?
You can over rev anything, the ignition will go much more RPM than the engine. The max RPM from the manufacturer on the DLE55 is 9000. The limiting component is the reeds, not far above 9000 they will start to float and not give a consistent seal when they close or just plain not close at all.
